Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

Kinnkolk (kinnkolk.com, also reachable at divinedavis.com/family) is a shared family-tree website run by Divine Davis, an individual in New York, USA. This policy explains what the site collects, who can see it, which outside services touch it, and how to get it deleted. Questions: divinejdavis@gmail.com.

The two things to know first

Any signed-in account can join and read any family tree. After you sign in, Kinnkolk lists every family tree by name and member count. Anyone with an account can join any listed family with one click, without an invitation or approval, and can then read and edit every person, reunion and RSVP in that tree. Signing in is the only barrier. Do not add information about a relative that you would not be comfortable with any Kinnkolk account holder seeing.

The leaderboard shows account email addresses. Every member of a family can see the email addresses of the people who added or edited relatives in that tree, along with their point totals. Your email is also stored on each person, reunion and RSVP you create or change.

Much of the information in a tree is about people other than the person entering it, including living relatives and children. Please add only what your family is comfortable sharing, and remove anything a relative asks you to remove.

Kinnkolk has no advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no cookies beyond what signing in requires. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who else handles it

How long we keep it

Account details are kept until the account is deleted. People, reunions, RSVPs and the edit log stay in the family tree until a family member removes them or the family's tree is deleted; deleting your account does not automatically remove relatives you added, because the rest of your family still uses them. Web server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Deleting information

Children

Kinnkolk is not directed at children, and accounts are meant for adults and teenagers 13 and older (16 in the EU and UK). The site does not ask for age at sign-up, so if we learn a younger child has created an account we will delete it. Family trees naturally include children as relatives; that information is entered by adult family members. A parent or guardian can ask us to review, correct or delete anything about their child by emailing divinejdavis@gmail.com.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct, download or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will answer within 30 days (45 days where California law allows). We verify requests by replying to the email address on the account, or by asking for enough detail to find a relative's entry.

Security

Connections use HTTPS. Database rules keep each family's records visible only to signed-in members of that family and let only a family admin delete people. As explained above, any signed-in account can become a member of any family, so these rules protect against the public, not against other account holders.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted on the sign-in screen.
